Searches need large optics, powerful illumination, and comparatively indestructible probe construction - hence, the large diameter fiberscope that is built with extra optical fibers and heavy stainless steel outer jacket.

Used for direct visual inspections or adapted for video viewing and recording, these instruments are built to withstand severe field conditions and produce clear visual evidence. A heavy-duty scope, these models increase the operator’s capability with a two axis (4 way) articulating head. The operator may scan an entire space using the articulation control knobs located on the eyepiece body.

These scopes feature an overtorque protection system for smooth articulation control that minimizes accidental cable breakage to insure long life. The unique articulation control mechanism reduces cable wear while increasing sensitivity.

The S&R Fiberscopes are designed as rugged, versatile, self-contained, remote viewing instruments. The 12mm dia. fiberscope, with more illumination fibers, is recommended for large volume tanks and search & rescue operations. The smaller diameter fiberscopes are best suited for viewing into more restricted areas, especially into gas tanks. All fiberscopes are equally suited for contraband searches.

The stainless steel probe can be submerged in water or gas up to the eyepiece body. The eyepiece body is designed to be water resistant but not submersible.

These scopes, with more illumination fibers, give you comparatively more light for viewing more distant objects. The scopes use very high resolution image bundles for optimum visual and/or video applications.
